Our policing area

What's more, West Mercia is a great place to live and work. The fourth largest police area in England and Wales, West Mercia Police covers the counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. There is a wide variety of towns and villages surrounded by beautiful rural landscapes. With excellent transport links and easy access to Birmingham and London, there is no shortage of leisure amenities and attractions. From historic market towns such as Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Hereford, Leominster, Evesham and Worcester, to the magnificent Shropshire, Clee and Malvern Hills, to modern shopping in Telford, there is something for everyone.
