Police appeal for witnesses to assault, Alcester Road , Hollywood and serious collision

Police have arrested two men aged 31 and 34 years old of no fixed address on suspicion of Section 18 wounding after police were called to reports of an assault in Alcester Road, Hollywood at 00.09hours on Tuesday morning 27 August.

The incident occurred as a man was walking along the Alcester Road after a night out when it is believed he was assaulted by two males, fell to the floor and was stabbed to his right buttock.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital for further assessment and treatment.

The two males then got into a BMW and left the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are checking CCTV and mobile phone footage and appealing for any witnesses to please contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 10s of 27 August 2019. Serious collision, Hollywood Lane , Hollywood

Incident 0022S of 270819

Police are also appealing for witnesses after the same BMW was in collision with a motorcyclist and then a tree on Hollywood Lane, Hollywood at 00.30hours on 27 August 2019.

On police arrival a 34 year old man of no fixed address who was out of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding. (incident 10S of 27 August 2019) He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment and treatment and remains in hospital.

A 31 year old man of no fixed address was also arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding. He suffered a broken jaw and leg and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for further assessment and treatment. He remains in hospital.

Following the collision, the rider of the motorcycle ran off from the scene. A 38 year old man was later arrested by officers on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after he was found to be wanted for other offences.

The road was closed from Hollywood Lane Junction with Alcester Road down past May Lane to the Drakes Cross junction to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
